Thomas F. Dickinson
President and Chief
Executive Officer
Tom was named president and chief
executive officer in May 2000. He has been with the company
since 1993, previously serving as senior vice president of
Operations and vice president of Business Development and
Marketing. Under Tom’s leadership as president, the company has
expanded its insurance operations from Michigan to the entire
Midwest as well as several states in the Pacific Northwest. In
addition, The Risk Management and Patient Safety Institute was
created and has been marketed throughout the United States. Tom
has also played an integral role in the development of FinCor
Holdings Inc. and FinCor Solutions.
Richard C. Helgren,
CPA, CPCU
Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer
Since joining the company in 1989
as controller, Rick was promoted to director of Finance and
treasurer in 1993, chief financial officer in 1994, vice
president in 1995, senior vice president in 2000, and executive
vice president and chief operating officer in 2004. A Chartered
Property Casualty Underwriter, he has taken a leadership role in
developing investment strategies and financial reporting systems
that support the company’s strategic direction to meet its
operational requirements. In addition to his duties at FinCor
Holdings, Rick serves as president and chief executive officer
of Washington Casualty Company.
Christine C. Schmitt, CPA
Senior Vice President, Assistant Secretary and
Chief Financial Officer
Chris has nearly 30 years of
finance, accounting and insurance experience. In this position,
Christine takes an active leadership role on all financial
matters related to strategic planning and business initiatives
such as acquisitions, new products, investor relations and
capital management. She has oversight of all external financial
reporting, including shareholder reporting and governmental
compliance, and is responsible for financing the company’s
capital needs and the development of tax strategies for FinCor
Holdings and its subsidiaries.
Mary Ursul
Senior
Vice President of Marketing, Business Development and Strategic
Planning
Before joining the company, Mary
held a variety of positions in both the health care and legal
areas, including vice president of insurance operations, general
counsel and director of administrative services, and corporate
compliance officer. Mary received a bachelor of science degree
in nursing from New York University and a Juris Doctorate degree
from the University of Detroit School of Law. She is a current
member of the State Bar of Michigan and is a licensed registered
nurse. She is also a director of Kent Commerce Bank, a wholly
owned subsidiary of Capital Bancorp Ltd.; a member of the
Michigan Society of Healthcare Risk Management; and was awarded
the R. Paul Venzke Award in 1995.
